Privacy Policy
Last updated: 31 July 2026
Crest Circle (“we,” “us,” “our”) respects your privacy and the privacy of the students who take part in our programmes. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, how we protect it, and the choices available to you — particularly as most of our users are minors.
By using our website, enrolling in a programme, or otherwise engaging with us, you (and, where the user is a minor, their parent or legal guardian) agree to the practices described in this Policy.
1. Who We Are
Crest Circle operates mentorship and project-based programmes for high school students. Our registered office is in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India.
Grievance Officer: Email: grievance@crestcircle.net. Response timeline: We aim to acknowledge grievances within 48 hours and resolve them within 15 working days, in line with applicable law.
For general enquiries: info@crestcircle.net
2. Personal Information We Collect
We collect only what is necessary for the specific purpose stated at the point of collection. This may include:
| Category | Examples | Collected From |
|---|---|---|
| Contact & identity details | Parent/guardian name, student name, age, email, postal address, phone number | Admission forms, trial sign-up, workshop registration |
| Programme-related information | Course/product interest, academic level, project preferences | Admission, counselling calls, surveys |
| Feedback | Opinions, ratings, survey responses | Post-programme or post-workshop surveys (optional) |
| Technical/usage data | Device type, browser, IP address, pages visited, time on site | Automated, via cookies and Google Analytics (see Section 6) |
We do not collect financial information (bank account, credit/debit card, UPI, or similar details) — payments, where applicable, are processed through a third-party payment gateway that does not share full payment credentials with us.
We do not knowingly collect any special category of information (health, biometric, religious, or similar data) unless separately and explicitly consented to for a specific, disclosed purpose.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use personal information only for the specific purpose it was collected for, including to:
- Process admissions and deliver programmes/workshops
- Respond to enquiries and provide customer support
- Send programme-related communications (schedules, materials, updates)
- Improve our website and programmes through aggregated, non-identifying analytics
- Send promotional communications — only where separately opted in (see Section 4)
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not use children’s data for behavioural monitoring, profiling, or targeted advertising, and we do not sell personal information.
4. Consent — Including for Promotional Use
We ask for consent separately for each distinct purpose rather than bundling everything into one blanket approval. For example, enrolling in a programme does not automatically opt you into promotional emails or SMS — that is a separate checkbox, and you can withdraw it at any time by emailing info@crestcircle.in or using the unsubscribe link in our communications.
5. Children’s Privacy and Parental Consent
Crest Circle’s programmes are designed for high school students, most of whom are minors under Indian law (under 18 years of age). We take the following steps:
- Verifiable parental/guardian consent. Before we collect or process any personal information of a student under 18, we obtain consent from a parent or legal guardian through a verifiable method (e.g., an email or OTP confirmation sent directly to the parent/guardian’s contact details, confirmed at the time of admission or trial sign-up).
- No behavioural tracking or targeted ads directed at children. We do not use student data to build behavioural profiles or serve targeted advertisements.
- Parental access and control. A parent or guardian may, at any time, request to review, correct, download, or delete their child’s information by writing to our Grievance Officer. We will act on such requests within the timelines set out in Section 1, subject to legal and operational limits (e.g., retaining records required for regulatory compliance).
- Age-appropriate minimisation. We collect the minimum information necessary to deliver the specific programme or service requested. We do not require information beyond what a given programme genuinely needs.
6. Cookies and Analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies, including Google Analytics, to understand how our site is used and to improve it.
- On your first visit, you will see a cookie banner allowing you to Accept, Reject, or Customise non-essential cookies. Continuing to browse without interacting with the banner does not constitute consent to non-essential cookies.
- Essential cookies (needed for basic site function, such as security and load balancing) are used regardless, as permitted by law.
- Analytics data is used in aggregate form to understand overall site usage; it is not used to build individual behavioural profiles of student users.
You can withdraw cookie consent at any time by clearing cookies in your browser or adjusting your preferences via the banner/settings link in our footer.
7. Cross-Border Data Transfers
Some of our service providers, for example Google Analytics, may process data on servers located outside India. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure the provider offers an adequate level of data protection consistent with applicable Indian law, and we limit the data shared with such providers to what is necessary for the stated purpose.
8. Information Sharing
We do not sell or rent personal information to third parties. We share information only with:
- Service providers who process data on our behalf (e.g., analytics, hosting, payment gateway), under confidentiality and data-protection obligations, and only to the extent necessary to provide their service.
- Legal and regulatory authorities, where disclosure is mandatorily required under applicable law, to comply with a legal obligation, or in response to a valid request from law enforcement or government authorities — even without prior notice to the user, where legally permitted.
9. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected, generally as follows:
- Active student/programme records: for the duration of enrolment plus three years thereafter, for record-keeping and legal compliance
- Enquiry/trial data where no admission follows: deleted or anonymised after twelve months
- Survey/feedback data: retained in anonymised/aggregated form only, after twelve months
When information is no longer required, we delete it or render it irreversibly anonymous.
10. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organisational safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information we hold, including access controls, encryption in transit, and restricted staff access. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we review and update our safeguards periodically.
In the event of a personal data breach that is likely to affect you, we will notify you and, where required, the relevant regulatory authority, in accordance with applicable law.
11. Your Rights and Choices
Subject to applicable law, you (or, for a student under 18, their parent/guardian) may:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct or update inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your information, subject to legal and operational retention requirements
- Withdraw consent for any specific processing purpose (e.g., promotional communications) at any time, as easily as it was given
- Lodge a complaint with our Grievance Officer, and, if unresolved, escalate to the Data Protection Board of India where applicable
To exercise any of these rights, contact info@crestcircle.in or our Grievance Officer at the details in Section 1.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or in applicable law. Material changes will be notified via the website and, where they affect how we process children’s data, via direct communication to parents/guardians. The “Last Updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
